Nothing will humble you more than ADHD. If you are a high-functioning Christian woman exhausted from trying to productivity-hack your way out of your own neurobiology, take a breath. Let me say it loud for the people in the back: being neurotypical is not a fruit of the spirit!
I was diagnosed with ADHD at 28, and it changed everything about how I understand myself. As Christian women, it is so easy to interpret our executive dysfunction, our inability to focus, or our inconsistent performance as a personal, moral failure. We try to mask it, we try to pray it away, and we end up performing our faith while living completely burnt out in survival mode.
Today, we are bridging the evidence of God's Word with the science of human behavior. I am sharing the three distinct lessons I had to learn to reconcile my faith with my neurodivergent brain. We are talking about why self-condemnation is literally shutting down your brain's ability to adapt, how to stop fighting your neurobiology, and how to actually start stewarding the way God designed you.
In this video:
02:49 - Lesson 1: Your Insufficiency is an Invitation
09:48 - Lesson 2: Curiosity over Condemnation
18:03 - Lesson 3: Stewarding God's Design
