I’m feeling interested
Feeling interested often arises when something sparks your curiosity, attention, or passion. It’s a signal that you’re engaged, eager to learn, or excited to explore something new. Interest helps us grow, discover, and connect, whether it’s with new ideas, people, activities, or opportunities. It invites us to dive deeper, ask questions, and expand our knowledge or experience. When we feel interested, we are in a state of openness and potential for growth, and it’s an opportunity to see God’s hand at work in new and unexpected places.
What You Might Be Feeling Right Now
You might feel a sense of excitement or curiosity, as though something is piquing your attention and drawing you in. Your mind could be racing with questions or ideas, and you’re eager to explore or learn more about what’s in front of you. You might feel open to new experiences or discussions, and there’s a sense of possibility in what you can discover. This feeling could make you want to engage with something you’ve never tried before or dive deeper into a subject that has caught your attention.
God’s Heart for You in Interest
Proverbs 2:2-6
"Turning your ear to wisdom and applying your heart to understanding—indeed, if you call out for insight and cry aloud for understanding, and if you look for it as for silver and search for it as for hidden treasure, then you will understand the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God. For the Lord gives wisdom; from His mouth come knowledge and understanding."
God encourages us to seek wisdom and understanding, and our interest in learning is an opportunity to grow in knowledge and draw closer to Him. Interest is a gift that leads us to greater insight and deeper relationships.
James 1:5
"If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him."
When something sparks your interest, God invites you to ask Him for wisdom. He generously provides the understanding we need to engage fully and wisely in new ideas or experiences.
Psalm 119:18
"Open my eyes that I may see wonderful things in your law."
God’s Word is a treasure, and when we are interested in learning and growing in Him, He opens our eyes to see the beauty and depth of His truth. Interest in His Word leads us to deeper revelation.

- Explore Your Interest: If something has sparked your interest, take time to explore it further. Whether it’s reading, discussing, or engaging with the topic, allow yourself to be fully present and curious.
- Ask Questions: Don’t be afraid to ask questions and seek deeper understanding. God invites us to learn from Him and others, and interest opens the door to greater knowledge.
- Reflect on God’s Purposes: When you feel interested in something, reflect on how it may be part of God’s plan for your growth or His purpose for your life. Is there something He is calling you to explore or understand more deeply?
- Be Open to New Experiences: Interest often leads us to new opportunities and experiences. Stay open to what God might be teaching you through your curiosity and exploration.
- Pray for Understanding: If you’re interested in something new, pray for wisdom and guidance. Ask God to help you discern His will and to lead you in the right direction as you explore.
