Feeling eager arises when we anticipate something with enthusiasm and a sense of readiness. It’s your heart signaling that you are excited to move forward, pursue a goal, or embrace an opportunity. Eagerness is often driven by a desire for growth, success, or a positive outcome. It’s a motivating force that propels us to act with energy, enthusiasm, and a readiness to face whatever comes next. While eagerness can be a powerful tool for motivation, it’s important to channel that excitement in alignment with God’s will, trusting that He will guide us in the right direction.

What You Might Be Feeling Right Now

You might feel a rush of excitement and motivation, as if you're ready to jump into something new or take action on something that’s been on your mind. This feeling of eagerness often comes when you're anticipating a new opportunity, challenge, or experience that excites you. You may feel driven and energized, eager to take the next step, whether it’s pursuing a new project, making a decision, or embarking on a new journey. This sense of readiness can propel you forward, but it's important to stay grounded in God's guidance as you move ahead.

God’s Heart for You in Eagerness

Philippians 3:13-14
"Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus."
Eagerness is often tied to the pursuit of a goal, and Paul encourages us to press on with eagerness toward the goal of our calling in Christ. This eagerness is motivated by our relationship with God, knowing that He is leading us toward something greater.

Proverbs 16:3
"Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and He will establish your plans."
When we are eager, it’s essential to commit our desires and plans to God. He will direct our steps and establish our plans, guiding our eagerness in the right direction. Trusting in Him ensures that our enthusiasm aligns with His will.

Romans 12:11
"Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord."
God calls us to maintain our enthusiasm and passion, especially in our service to Him. When we are eager, it is a reflection of the zeal that God wants to cultivate in our hearts. This eagerness should be used to serve and honor Him.
