This week, take intentional time to reflect on where your current life structure—the rhythms, responsibilities, and routines—is really coming from. The goal here is not to judge yourself. It’s to get honest so that you can start building from alignment, not exhaustion. You’ll journal through the following prompts. Be brutally honest and spiritually open. This is between you and God.
1. What parts of my life feel most exhausting right now?
-
Be specific. Is it your schedule? A role you’re in? The mental load of expectations?
2. What survival strategy might be driving how I show up in that area?
-
People-pleasing? Over-responsibility? Fear of failure? Perfectionism? Performance?
-
If you're not sure, ask: “What am I afraid would happen if I stopped doing this?”
3. Where have I spiritualized exhaustion?
-
Write down anything you’ve labeled “faithful” or “godly” that actually drains you.
-
Ask: “Did God assign this—or did I assume it?”
4. Where have I been blaming God… for something He gave me the agency to change?
-
This is hard, but powerful. Reflect on whether your disappointment is really about God’s timing—or if you’ve been disengaged from your own responsibility.
5. What kind of life do I actually want to build with God?
-
Don’t just write aesthetics—write how you want to feel, how you want to operate, and what kind of fruit you want to see.
