I’m feeling confident
Feeling confident arises when we experience assurance and self-belief, often in our abilities, decisions, or in our relationship with God. It’s your heart signaling that you trust in what you bring to the table and that you have a strong sense of self. Confidence allows you to move forward, take risks, and trust God to guide your steps. It’s important to remember that true confidence is rooted in God’s strength, not in self-reliance, and should always be used to glorify Him and uplift others.
What You Might Be Feeling Right Now
You might feel certain, strong, and ready to face challenges. This feeling could stem from past experiences where you’ve succeeded, or it could simply be a sense of inner assurance that you are equipped for what lies ahead. You may feel ready to take on new opportunities, speak up for what you believe in, or pursue your goals with determination. Confidence can give you the courage to act, but it’s important to ensure that it is rooted in humility and trust in God, not in pride or self-sufficiency.
God’s Heart for You in Confidence
Philippians 4:13
"I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength."
True confidence comes from recognizing that our strength and ability are provided by Christ. When we trust in His power, we can confidently face any challenge, knowing that He equips us for every good work.
2 Corinthians 3:4-5
"Such confidence we have through Christ before God. Not that we are competent in ourselves to claim anything for ourselves, but our competence comes from God."
Our confidence is not about our own competence, but about God’s ability to work through us. This scripture reminds us that all our strength and capability come from God, and in Him, we are fully equipped for every task.
Proverbs 3:26
"For the Lord will be your confidence and will keep your foot from being caught."
God is our true source of confidence. When we place our trust in Him, He provides the stability and assurance we need, helping us stay grounded and secure as we move forward in life.
What You Can Do Right Now
- Reflect on God’s Strength: Take a moment to recognize that your confidence comes from God. Thank Him for the assurance He provides, and reflect on the ways He has equipped you for success.
- Embrace Your Identity in Christ: Confidence is grounded in knowing who you are in Christ. Reflect on your identity as a beloved child of God, chosen and equipped by Him to do His work in the world.
- Walk in Faith: With confidence, take the next step in faith. Whether it’s making a decision, speaking up, or tackling a challenge, trust that God is with you, guiding your actions and providing the strength you need.
- Use Confidence for Good: Let your confidence inspire and encourage others. Lead by example, and use your assurance to lift up those around you, helping them to see their own worth and potential in Christ.
- Stay Humble: Confidence should never lead to arrogance. Stay humble and remember that everything you are and everything you accomplish is because of God’s grace, not your own ability.
A Prayer for This Moment
"Lord, I am feeling confident, and I thank You for the strength and assurance You’ve given me. Help me to remain humble and always recognize that my confidence comes from You. Guide me as I move forward, and help me to use this confidence to honor You and encourage others. May I trust in Your provision and strength as I take on the challenges ahead, knowing that You are with me every step of the way. Amen."
