I’m feeling loving
Feeling loving arises when our hearts are open, full of compassion, kindness, and care for others. It’s your heart signaling that you are embracing the people around you, offering grace, affection, and a desire to serve them with a heart that reflects God's love. Love is the greatest commandment we are given, and it flows from God’s unconditional love for us. Feeling loving invites us to be a reflection of His love in our relationships, making the world a better place through kindness and service.
What You Might Be Feeling Right Now
You might feel warmth and tenderness toward someone, an urge to express care, or a deep desire to show kindness and affection. This feeling of love may inspire you to connect with others, offer support, or share your heart through words or actions. When you feel loving, you are often more patient, forgiving, and generous, as your heart opens to the needs and well-being of those around you. This love can be a source of healing, peace, and joy, both for yourself and others.
God’s Heart for You in Love
1 John 4:19
"We love because He first loved us."
God’s love for us is the foundation of all love. We can love others because we have first received His immense, unconditional love. Our capacity to love comes directly from His love flowing into us, shaping our hearts to reflect His character.
John 13:34-35
"A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another."
Jesus calls us to love others the way He has loved us—with humility, selflessness, and grace. Loving others in this way shows the world who we belong to and reflects the heart of Christ.
Romans 13:10
"Love does no harm to a neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law."
Love is the greatest commandment because it fulfills all the laws of God. When we love, we seek the best for others, not causing harm but building them up and encouraging their well-being.
What You Can Do Right Now
- Express Your Love: Take action to show your love. This can be through a kind word, a thoughtful gesture, or spending quality time with someone who needs your presence. Let your love flow outwards through acts of care and affection.
- Pray for a Heart of Love: Ask God to fill your heart with His love and to help you love others as He loves you. Pray for the ability to see people through His eyes, with grace and compassion.
- Forgive Freely: Love is often tested through forgiveness. If you’re feeling loving, use that love to extend forgiveness to someone who may have hurt you. Let go of grudges and offer grace, just as God offers it to you.
- Be Present for Others: Sometimes, the best way to show love is by simply being there for someone. Listen, support, and offer your presence to those who need it. Love is about making space for others in your life and heart.
- Reflect on God’s Love for You: Spend time reflecting on how much God loves you. Meditate on His unconditional love and how it has impacted your life. Let this love inspire you to love others more deeply.
A Prayer for This Moment
"Lord, I am feeling loving, and I thank You for the incredible love You have shown me. Please help me to love others with the same selflessness, grace, and compassion that You have shown to me. Fill my heart with Your love, and guide me to express it through my words and actions. Help me to be patient, forgiving, and kind, and to love others in a way that reflects You. Thank You for loving me first, and may my love be a reflection of Your goodness. Amen."
